3rd-4th Grade

Co-founder & Owner Alison Buckett begins her 10th year teaching the 3rd-4th grade class and continues as Director of the school. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a mathematics minor. Over the years since graduation, she has taken postgraduate courses on numerous topics, including computers, gifted and talented programs, and conversational Spanish. She continues to take classes in Early Childhood Professions and is Director qualified. Alison holds a current State of Colorado Professional Teacher License in Elementary Education. While raising her three children, Alison taught one year of kindergarten at a day care facility, four years of preschool at the Longmont Learning Center, and substituted extensively for the St. Vrain Valley School District in elementary classrooms. She has also been involved in Girl Scouting as a leader and Day Camp Director, has taught youth classes at her church, and volunteered in her own children’s schools. A genuine appreciation of every child, a gentle but enthusiastic nature, and a sense of humor combine to put children at ease and optimize the learning environment.
